SS Photo Scavenger Hunt

If you’ve ever participated in a scavenger hunt or have ever taken pictures with a camera or smart phone, now’s your opportunity to combine both of these interests, for  Sunnyside is sponsoring a photo scavenger hunt.  The goal is to take a picture—preferably one that demonstrates your creativity—of eighteen different objects.  You can take the pictures in your own home or yard as well as around the Sunnyside campus or the area neighborhood.

Here are the subjects for the next two weeks of the photo scavenger hunt. Please submit your photos by Friday, October 2.

  • Building and Grounds at work
  • License plate beginning with "A"
  • Outside light turned on

Those are the basics.  Now here are the rules (along with some suggestions!) :

    • Once every two weeks The Sunnyside Times will feature three photo opportunities. These will be announced on Mondays on Ch 970 and on The Sunnyside Times website.
    • Any or all of the three photos should be submitted by the Friday two weeks later, along with the photographer’s name.
    • All photos received will be published the following Monday.
    • The next photo opportunities will also be posted on that Monday.
    • Feel free to use any camera, including cell phone cameras.
    • Creativity is encouraged! Try to challenge yourself, as professional photographers do, by producing the most creative images you can of these mundane objects.
    • Submit photos as an email attachment to Colleen Cahill: corucala@fastmail.com.

If you have questions, please contact Colleen (email address above) or Linda Bradley: bradlelm@jmu.edu.
