Telephone Recommendations

Landline phone service is provided through Sunnyside (Verizon). This service is very convenient for on-campus calls, using only the last four digits of your phone number. It also doesn’t include Voice Mail; You will need to have an answering machine. If it is built into your phone, it will not work during power outages, unless you are in a room with battery backup.

Sunnyside’s phone system will stay on during a power outage, but you will need an “old” analog phone. Cost from BestBuy ~ $10.00

Many residents prefer to use cell phones for off-campus calls.
