Choose To Lose Weight Loss Group

Purpose

The Choose to Lose Weight Loss Group is designed to provide current educational information about good nutrition, to foster healthy eating habits, and to provide mutual encouragement to each member..

Activities

The first half hour of each meeting consists of a weigh-in and informal conversation. Participants who have gained weight during the week place a small donation in the kitty; these monies are given to various community agencies for nutrition-related projects. The second half hour of each meeting alternates between exercise one week and an educational program related to good nutrition and healthy eating habits the second week. Mutual encouragement is always an important part of each meeting. The group also participates in the Wellness Center Health Fair. Dues are $2 per month.
