Mah Jongg is an ancient game started in China during the Quing Dynasty. Today we play Mah Jongg according to rules developed by the National Mah Jongg League (i.e, American Mah Jongg.) that has been in operation for 81 years.

Our group plays Mah Jongg twice a week - at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday evenings at Barbara’s home - 1445 Glenside Drive. And we just recently moved our venue to the Blue Ridge Room at the Highlands for our Monday session at 1:00 p.m. We are enjoying the larger space and would like to encourage more players, including men! Our Monday group also meets on the fourth Monday of each month for lunch in the Market Place before play begins.

If you are interested, come join us on Monday at 1:00 to observe or, if you really want to play, Judy Bukauskas or Barbara will have you starting to play after just one or two observations. Don"t worry – you will have someone beside you to coach you!

For more information, just call Barbara at 437-8928.
