Technology Club

Purpose

A small group of residents met in April 2009 to share their interest in computers. They decided that their goal was to educate themselves and other residents. The club grew over the years:

...to have over 100 people on its email list for reminders and information; ...to spin-off the Rocktown Camera Club; ...to form a Geek Squad to assist residents with computer problems; ...to add outside speakers, as well as members, giving programs on timely subjects; ...to move beyond computers to tablets, iPads, and smart phones; and ...to develop a resident-led website, Sunnyside Times.

Meetings

The Club meets the second Monday of each month at 1 pm in the Allegheny Room with a planned program.

The Geek Squad is available the fourth Monday each month from 1 to 2 pm in the Allegheny Room to provide one-on-one or group assistance. (Help is also available at other times - please see contact information below.)

Contacts

All residents are welcome not only to attend meetings but also to participate in the various areas - planning meetings, working as a Geek, helping with the website.
