Sunnyside Antique Car Show

SHORTCODE NOT YET HANDLED:

On Sunday, May 21st, over fifty classic and antique automobiles arrived at Sunnyside for the 4th Annual Sunnyside Classic and Antique Car Show. They ranged from a 1966 King Midget to a 1935 Cadillac LaSalle 4 door and from a 1927 Chevrolet truck to a 1971 Ford pickup. Several Model A Ford cars and one Model A Ford truck were there, along with a number of late 1950s to mid1960s muscle cars such as Chevrolet Camaros, Ford Mustangs, and a Pontiac GTO.

Two Sunnyside residents had entries in the show. Lee Campbell had his classic 1957 Chevrolet Bellaire on display, along with Baard Grindal’s 1969 American Motors AMX. The weather cooperated with a mostly cloudy sky but warm temperatures. Many Sunnyside residents, as well as numerous guests, were in attendance and enjoyed talking with the car owners while snacking on the hot dogs, ice cream, and other treats available there. The Hatcher Boys, a Sunnyside favorite, provided music during the show, and a number of area crafters had displays and marketed their wares. A good time was had by all! --Charlie Lotts
